This was my first opportunity to read a book by Ellery Adams. I am now a forever fan who is hooked!
Meeting everyone in Oyster Bay was such an amazing exerience. Ellery has created wonderful characters that I couldn't help loving.
Olivia Limoges is more than believable and I LOVE her. Her friends, family and life immediately drew me in. And I realy love the fact that, I seem to have alot in common with Miss Limoges. From her affection of Capain Havilland to her deeply rooted love of her town, neighbors and friends.
I loved the background information and the delve into Olivia's emotions/past heartache. So, even as a first time reader, I didn't feel like I was in any way behind in this series. Even though I am.
I couldn't find a single thing about this book that I didn't like. The quotes at the beginning of every chapter were a huge plus and they didn't give anything away about the chapter itself. Each page made me want to keep going until the wee hours of the morning. The Last Word is a masterfully crafted mystery with well rounded characters and insightful tidbits. It kept this reader intrigued, guessing and connected right up until the last word.
Amazing job Ellery Adams! I look forward to going back to Oyster Bay and joining the residents for some more fun.
