I will not bore you with the details of how I obtained this short story, or what my various body parts did or didn't do. It's about the story---isn't it?
I KNEW before I read Eaten by the Wolf that it is a short story. However--in this case, size doesn't really matter. It is completely consistent with a short story. It has characters that are believable and developed for a short story. (Do you really need their whole BIO in a short? No. It's A SHORT) It is a well thought out, well written short story and contains enough detail and dialogue to sustain it. It has a beginning, middle and an end. It contains a bit of mystery, fear and heat. It's a perfect QUICKIE. And I LOVED it.
Anyone who has read Tracey H. Kitts's work, knows this follows in the same way all of her work does. There's a method to her madness. If I had only read this book, I would surely be looking for more of her work. After all, it is a teaser. And sometimes, we all need a good tease.
